Bernadette: This Week

My mother-in-law is coming to visit on Thursday so I'm only planning just these two meals and will then play it by ear. Luckily, my mother-in-law prefers to dine at home so we won't be eating out too much and she even likes to cook during her stay sometimes.

• Maple Glazed Chicken Kebabs with Sweet Jalapeno Salsa with a side of baked beans. I can't tell whether the combination of flavors will be too sweet, a nice blend of spicy and sweet, or just plain weird and/or gross. I find the Pioneer Woman recipes are very hit or miss for me but thought this recipe would be easy to make at least.
• Pasta with Pesto, Potatoes, and Green Beans The toddler has been demanding more "green noodles" so we'll give this one a try.
